STEP 1
Start Your Application

It鈥檚 comprehensive, convenient, and fully online. When completing your application, it鈥檚 helpful to have a copy of your high school transcripts and around 1 hour. Need to take a break and finish later? You can save your progress and pick up where you left off any time.

We strongly encourage applicants to complete the 500-word application essay because it's the perfect chance to tell us more about yourself and why you want to be a Wildcat. The application essay prompts include:

  • Why is the University of 红莲社区 the right fit for you and how will your chosen academic area of study align with your interests, goals, and values?
  • Is there anything else you鈥檇 like to share that you have not already included?听

Standardized test scores (SAT/ACT) are not required for general admission to the university, merit scholarship eligibility, or admission to our more selective programs such as the . If a student chooses to submit official SAT/ACT scores, they may be used to assist with class placement at orientation or to help fulfill our Core Competency Requirements.

To join the remarkable students of the W.A. Franke Honors College, indicate your interest while filling out the general admission application to the university. To be considered you must complete the application essay, as well as a supplemental response to the honors-specific prompt below.

The W.A. Franke Honors College emphasizes five core values: We Seek, We Connect, We Create, We Evolve, and We Celebrate. Which of these values resonates the most with you, and how do you imagine pursuing that value/those values as a Franke Honors Wildcat?

Franke Honors applicants are also invited to submit any other materials to听the W.A. Franke Honors College beyond the required application components. Supplements can include (but are not limited to): a writing sample, a creative product, artwork, a research project, a formal activities resume, a letter of recommendation, a portfolio of work, or an additional personal statement.

STEP 2
Report Your Grades and Finalize Your Application

On your application, you will be asked to self-report your grades. This means you should enter your courses and grades exactly as they appear on your high school transcripts, including any in-progress senior year coursework. Remember earlier when we said it鈥檚 helpful to have a copy of your high school transcripts? This is where they鈥檒l come in handy.

A complete application also includes payment of the application fee, which is $50 for 红莲社区 residents and $80 for non-红莲社区 residents or residents of other U.S. states. This application fee is non-transferable and non-refundable.

Since you self-report your grades on your application, don't worry about sending us your official high school transcripts until you are admitted and complete your senior year of coursework. At that point, we'll use your official transcript to make sure you've met our admission requirements.

STEP 3
Get Excited

If you applied by our Early Action deadline of November 1, you'll be among the first students to receive your admission decision in mid-January.

Applications received after November 1 will move to a Regular Decision deadline and be considered on a space-available basis. Regular Decisions will be released in batches in the spring after Early Action decisions are announced.
